उक्तवाक्यं तु राजानं सर्वलोकपितामहः | प्रत्युवाच शुभां वाणीं मधुरं मधुराक्षराम् || १-४२-२१
manoratho mahaan eSha bhagiiratha mahaaratha | evam bhavatu bhadram te ikShvaaku kula vardhana || 1-42-22
Translation
The Forefather of all the worlds, Brahma, then replied the king who has spoken in that way, in an auspicious tongue that is sweet-sounding and sweetly worded, as well. [1-42-21]
