एवम् उक्तः तु सौमित्री राक्षस्या वाक्य कोविदः | ततः शूर्पणखीम् स्मित्वा लक्ष्मणो युक्तम् अब्रवीत् || ३-१८-८
evam uk{}taH tu saumitrii raakShasyaa vaakya kovidaH |tataH shuurpaNakhiim smitvaa lakShmaNo yuk{}tam abraviit || 3-18-8
Translation
Thus said by the demoness that meaningful sentence maker Lakshmana, the son of Sumitra, then smiled and appropriately replied Shuurpanakha. [3-18-8]
