जटिलं चीरवसनं प्राञ्जलिं पतितं भुवि | ददर्श रामो दुर्दर्शं युगान्ते भास्करं यथा || २-१००-१
jaTilaM chiiravasanaM praaJNjaliM patitaM bhuvi | dadarsha raamo durdarshaM yugaante bhaaskaraM yathaa || 2-100-1
Translation
Rama saw Bharata, with matted locks, wearing bark-robes and, with joined palms, lying on the ground, incapable of being seen as the sun at the time of the dissolution of the world.
