Verse 5·VR 2.18.5

इन्द्रियैः अप्रह्ऱ्ष्टैअः तम् शोक सम्ताप कर्शितम् | निह्श्वसन्तम् महा राजम् व्यथित आकुल चेतसम् || २-१८-५ ऊर्मि मालिनम् अक्षोभ्यम् क्षुभ्यन्तम् इव सागरम् | उपप्लुतम् इव आदित्यम् उक्त अन्ऱ्तम् ऱ्षिम् यथा || २-१८-६

indriyaiH aprahRShTaiaH tam shoka samtaapa karshitam | nihshvasantam mahaa raajam vyathita aakula cetasam || 2-18-5 uurmi maalinam akShobhyam kShubhyantam iva saagaram | upaplutam iva aadityam ukta anRtam RShim yathaa || 2-18-6

Translation

That king Dasaratha was sighing heavily with senses sans pleasure, emaciated with grief and anguish, with distressed and agitated mind, like ocean which cannot be perturbed, becoming perturbed with row of waves, like sun which is eclipsed and who lost lustre like by a sage who spoke untruth.
