इत्येव विलपन्तीनाम् स्त्रीणाम् वेश्मसु राघवम् | जगामास्तम् दिनकरो रजनी चाभ्यवर्तत || २-४८-३३
tathaa striyo raama nimittam aaturaa | yathaa sute bhraatari vaa vivaasite | vilapya diinaa rurudur vicetasaH | sutaiH hi taasaam adhiko hi so abhavat || 2-48-36
Translation
The sun sank below the horizon and the night fell, while the women in the houses were weeping in that manner about Rama.
