अनुज्ञातः सुमन्त्रः अथ योजयित्वा हय उत्तमान् | अयोध्याम् एव नगरीम् प्रययौ गाढ दुर्मनाः || २-५७-३
anuGYaataH sumantraH atha yojayitvaa haya uttamaan | ayodhyaam eva nagariim prayayau gaaDha durmanaaH || 2-57-3
Translation
Sumantra, being allowed to depart by Rama, tied excellent horses to the chariot and with intense anguish, rode towards the very city of Ayodhya.
