सर्व एव तु तस्येष्टाश्चत्वारः पुरुषर्षभाः | स्वशरीराद्विनिर्वृत्ताश्चत्वार इव बाहवः || २-१-५
sarva eva tu tasyeshhTa shchatvaaraH purushharshhabhaaH | svasharIrAdvinirvR^ittAshchatvAra iva baahavaH || 2-1-5
Translation
Dasaratha was bestowing his equal love to all his four sons who were best among men, as though they were his four hands emerging out of his own body.
