एकाहमपि पश्येयम् यद्यहम् राममातरम् | अञ्जलिम् प्रतिगृह्णन्तीम् श्रेयो ननु मृतिर्मम || २-१२-४८
nashhTachitto yathonmatto vipariito yathaaturaH | hR^itatejaa yathaa sarpo babhuuva jagatiipatiH || 2-12-55
Translation
"If I have to see Kausalya, the mother of Rama receiving salutations even for day, death is indeed better for me."
