स तं सस्मितमाभाष्य पुत्रं पुत्रवतां वरः || २-३-३८ उवाचेदं वचो राजा देवेन्द्रमिव काश्यपः |
tachchhrutvaa suhR^idastasya raamasya priyakaariNaH || 2-3-46 tvaritaaH shiighramabhyetya kausalyaayai nyavedayan |
Translation
King Dasaratha, the best among those who have sons, smilingly conversed with his son, and addressed Rama as follows, as Kasyapa does to (his eldest son) Devendra (the ruler of gods).
