पिता च राजा काकुत्स्थः श्रीमान् सन्नः तदा बभौ | परिपूर्णः शशी काले ग्रहेण उपप्लुतः यथा || २-४०-३०
sa cha shriimaanachintyaatmaa raamo dasharathaatmajaH | suutam sa.nchodayaamaasa tvaritam vaahyataamiti || 2-40-31
Translation
At that time, the father of Rama as is well known as a glorious king Dasaratha(a scion of Kakutstha) looked shrunk, like the full moon oversadowed by an eclipse.
