चन्द्रहीनमिवाकाशम् तोयहीनमिवार्णवम् | अपश्यन्निहतानन्दम् नगरम् ते विचेतसः || २-४७-१८
chandrahiinamivaakaasham toyahiinamivaarNavam | apashyannihataanandam nagaram te vichetasaH || 2-47-18
Translation
As the sky without the moon or the sea without the water, these disconcerted men beheld the city from which all joy had fled.
