स वनं घोरसंकाशं दृष्ट्वा नरवरात्मजः || १-२४-१२ अविप्रहतमैक्ष्वाकः पप्रच्छ मुनिपुंगवम् |

aho vanam idam durgam jhillikaa gaNa saMyutam || 1-24-13 bhairavaiH shvaapadaiH kiirNam shakunaiH daaruNa aaravaiH |

Translation

On seeing a horrendous and uninhibited forest, Rama, the son of the best king Dasharatha asked the eminent sage Vishvamitra. [1-24-12b, 13a]
