सशरीरो दिवं यायामिति मे सौम्य दर्शन || १-५८-१८ मया चेष्टं क्रतुशतं तच्च नावाप्यते फलम् |
sa shariiro divam yaayaami iti me sauMya darshana || 1-58-18 mayaa ca iShTam kratu shatam tat ca na avaapyate phalam |
Translation
'Oh, gentle Vishvamitra, my aspiration is nothing but to go to heaven with my body. I have performed hundred rituals but I have not achieved the fruit.' Thus Trishanku started tell his sad tale.
