मनुः प्रजापतिः पूर्वमिक्ष्वाकुश्च मनोः सुतः | तमिक्ष्वाकुमयोध्यायां राजानं विद्धि पूर्वकम् || १-७०-२१
anaraNyaat pR^ithuH jaj~ne trishaMkuH tu pR^ithoH sutaH | trishaMkoH abhavat putro dhundhumaaraH mahaayashaaH || 1-70-24
Translation
Manu is the earliest Prajaapati and Ikshvaaku is the son of Manu, and that Ikshvaaku is the first king of Ayodhya... know thus... [1-70-21]
