हिनस्तु दक्षिणाक्षित्वच्छर इत्यथ सोऽब्रवीत् || ५-३८-३६ ततः तस्य अक्षि काकस्य हिनस्ति स्म स दक्षिणम् | दत्त्वा स दक्षिणम् नेत्रम् प्राणेभ्यः परिरक्षितः || ५-३८-३७

aanR^isha.nsyam paro dharmaH tvatta eva mayaa shrutaH | jaanaami tvaam mahaaviiryam mahaautsaaham mahaabalam || 5-38-41 apaara paaram akShobhyam gaambhiiryaat saagara upamam | bhartaaram sasamudraayaa dharaNyaa vaasava upamam || 5-38-42

Translation

Thereafter, that crow said "Let your arrow shoot my right eye." Then that blade of Kusa grass shooted the right eye of that crow. By giving away its right eye in that way, the crow saved its life."
