भ्रातृरूपो हि मे शत्रुरेष सर्वाहिते रतः || ६-१११-९६ रावणो नार्हते पूजां पूज्योअपि गुरुगौरवात् |
daarupaatraani sarvaaNi araNiM chottaraaraNim || 6-111-118 dattvaa tu musalaM chaanyaM yathaasthaanaM vichakramuH |
Translation
"This Ravana, who was interested in wishing evil to all, though venerable as a respectable elder, is not fit for honour. He is my enemy, in the guise of a brother."
