तस्मिन् प्रवृद्ध उत्तम सानु वृक्षे | शृन्गे विकीर्णे पतिते पृथिव्याम् | महा अहि कल्पम् शरम् अन्तक आभम् | समाददे राक्षस लोक नाथह् || ६-५९-३८

sa tam gR^ihiitvaa anila tulya vegam | savisphulinga jvalana prakaasham | baaNam mahaa indra ashani tulya vegam | cikShepa sugriiva vadhaaya ruShTah || 6-59-39

Translation

While that mountain-top with its well-developed ridges and excellent trees was rent asunder and fell on the earth, Ravana like unto another Yama the Lord of Death, loosed an arrow resembling a great serpent.
