स शैलशृङ्गाभिहतश् चुकोप | ननाद कोपाच्च विवृत्य वक्त्रम् | व्याविध्य शूलम् च तडित्प्रकाशं | चिक्षेप हर्यृक्षपतेर्वधाय || ६-६७-६२

shuulam bhagnam hanumataa dR^iShTvaa vaanaravaahinii | hR^iShTaa nanaada bahushaH sarvatashchaapi dudruve || 6-67-65

Translation

Struck by the mountain-top, that Kumbhakarna was enraged and roared with his mouth wide open with anger. Holding firmly the spike, which was emitting a flash of lightning, he hurled it to kill Sugreeva, the king of monkeys and bears.
