तांस्तु दृष्ट्वा हरिगणाञ्शरवृष्टिभिरर्दितान् || ६-७६-६४ अङ्गदं पृष्ठतः कृत्वा भ्रातृजं प्लवगेश्वरः | अभिदुद्राव वेगेन सुग्रीवः कुम्भमाहवे || ६-७६-६५ शैलसानु चरं नागं वेगवानिव केसरी |

taaM chhaadayantiimaakaashaM vR^ikShavR^iShTiM duraasadaam || 6-76-67 kumbhakarNaatmajaH shriimaaMshchichchheda nishitaiH sharaiH |

Translation

Seeing those troops of monkeys being tormented by a flood of arrows, Sugreeva the king of monkeys, keeping Angada his brother's son in the rear, rushed headlong towards Kumbha in the battle, as a swift lion would bounce upon an elephant walking along the slopes of a mountain.
